We’ve got something against sprayers: structural elements with an Anti-Graffiti Coating

Art or annoyance? At least for the owners and operators of public transport services or private and public buildings, the answer has been  clear for a long time:  graffiti is an ugly annoyance, the removal of which is also an expensive business.  A new product now being marketed by ThyssenKrupp Stahl AG should help to ease the graffiti front: lacquered steel strip to which graffiti cannot even stick in the first place.  Among other things, ThyssenKrupp Bausysteme GmbH manufacture steel façade elements.

The anti-graffiti effect is achieved by a transparent lacquer coating with a special anti-graffiti additive that prevents the paint from the graffiti spray-can from reacting and binding permanently with the surface. The graffiti sprayer does not at first notice the effect. The effect only becomes apparent when cleaning is carried out: graffiti can be simply and rapidly rinsed off  with clean water. If you want, you can even scratch it off with your  fingernail.
